Famous for the best whale watching in the world, Hervey Bay is also the gateway to the world’s largest sand island of Fraser Island located just below the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef on Australia’s eastern coastline.

July to early November, Hervey Bay becomes the migratory playground for the magnificent Southern Humpback Whales and their calves.
